Oh to be an oyster

Oysters create pearls because a small irritant gets against the flesh of the tender oyster. In order to protect itself the oyster lays down a coating over the grain of sand and over time produces a beautiful pearl.
Oh, to be an oyster this week. I have already failed miserably in keeping my sarcastic retorts to myself and I have only been at it for 24 hours!

Oh, to be an oyster...Wouldn't it be a blessing to lay down a beautiful barrier between me and the irritant so...that instead of caustic word, a bitter sigh, haughtily raised eyebrows, disapproving frowns or a disdainful looks those around me only saw a pearl?

Oh, to be an oyster! Help me create pearls this week.
