18-Do Nothing

I am feeling overwhelmed with my to do list so this week's challenge is to do nothing! My week has the following items on the to do list

1)finish Kids Kloset consignment by 11:59pm Sunday (when the sites closes, so if it is not logged, it will not be available for the sale)

2) Craft remaining items for Haunted Hike on Friday, Oct 8-again if not made, they can't be sold

3) Clean DD room for impending arrival (dust)

4) Re-caulk bathroom tub (DH)

2 Physical Therapy appointments, a cardiology appointment, 3 Cross Country Practices, T3 supper, Early Release day on Wednesday an art fair and possibly a manicure with DD, pumpkins arrive at Church, a cross Country meet on Saturday and a church directory photo shoot

Plus the usual-WORK, prepare meals, laundry, housecleaning and I am not sure what else!

Now, I know it isn't practical and I will NOT actually DO Nothing...so perhaps the goal is to do less, do only that which needs doing.

I will delegate, exercise to reduce stress, read the scriptures, pray and let some things go undone!

17-Forgive

We recently became aware of the marital indiscretion between 2 families in our church. I was surprised by how hurt I felt by the choices these individuals had made and how far reaching the collateral damage was.
Our ladies bible study prayed for all the individuals directly impacted by the events, prayed a hedge of protection around our own marriages and then began the hard task of moving forward.

Here is an exercise we employed in our bible study which may work when you are in need of forgiveness or need to offer forgiveness.
This week I am working on forgiving...

Take a RED piece of paper
Write down what you need to be forgive for (or what you need to forgive another person for). If you re the person who required forgiveness, you must Own It. Without repentance there is no true forgiveness.
Place the paper in an envelope (preferably RED) and seal it. Place this in a prominent place where you can see it.
KNOW that Jesus blood (symbolized by the RED paper and envelope) has covered this sin and by His grace you are forgiven (or are able to forgive)
Every time you feel compelled to pick up your guilt or to cast accusations toward the one who harmed you-look at the RED envelope and remember CHRIST, through whom all things, even forgiveness, is possible!

16-Make a list

I am recovering from Shoulder surgery and am busier than ever with all the therapy sessions in addition to my regular schedule. It is overwhelming and I feel almost manic at times and my insomnia is back with a vengeance. Something has got to give!

I am going to make a list before I go to bed and see if that doesn't help me sleep better. I am also going to post a notepad beside the bed to jot down stray thoughts when the awaken me.

I have increased my prayer time during middle of the night wakefulness and will incorporate a meditation on "THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT AT THIS TIME OF THE NIGHT ANYWAY!" in order to relax.
